God's Kind of Love ❤️

 



Luke 5:32 "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance ."


After Christ called on Levi "the tax collector", He had a feast at Levi's house and fellow tax collectors and friends ("Sinners") tagged along.

For an enlightened Christian "Psalm 1:1 came to mind "Blessed is the man, that walketh not, sitteth not with the sinner (KJV)".

But Christ did!?🤨

One would rightly conclude that Christ ("Our Model") ought not to have associated Himself with known sinners let alone share in a banquet with any of them.

I would say Levi "the tax collector" would have been a perfect substitute for the Yahoo Boys of our time ,Think about it..🤔

Do you know what Christ did? He looked out for them so that they might repent.

 Obviously, the thoughts of God are not akin to human rational wisdom.

That's the mindset, that's the goal! After all, He's the saviour, again a Saviour yet without a price or a condition precedent.

Nowadays, Christians tend to tag people who are not in the same religion as sinners, but little did we know that being in Christ and showing forth God's love is not about being religious but representing Christ by manifesting love to everyone.

A funny scenario is having me as your neighbour and you come to me on Sundays telling me that Jesus loves me, whereas every other day you somehow tell me He does not -it could be through your words or actions. Of course, God does not love me, neither do you.😏

God's love is established in Christ-like nature! 

It's a Living, not an activity or Sunday service thing.

It is not based on our subjectively influenced requirements (you love them and extend the good news about Christ to them because they love you too or because you stand to gain from them) 


Remember that even why we were yet sinners Christ died for us. By and by, this "Great Commission" was passed to us.




All I am saying is..


1. Look at every positive side


See everyman is an extension of God, no matter their wrongs.


2. Be compassionate 


Show how God's love is calling them to repentance rather than condemn them.


This "Enlightened Christian cum Bible Scholars thing" can be so demanding. To what essence is it  if there's no understanding, and when one is not living the life he or she professes? 

Remember that we were once like them, but God showed us mercy. It is God's will that no sinner should perish.

If you keep loving only those who love you what will you gain?

Ours is to spread out God's love.

Do not do what they do, be a positive influence.
