OHUN AYE A MA BAYE LO
This simply a Yoruba statement deeply rooted in the word of God
1 John 2:17 'And the world passes away and the lust of it but he who does the will of God abides forever. You might want to read from verse 15.
Right, the world feels unending with our insatisfactions,Yet we keep chasing after them. But One thing is endearing,One thing Satisfies.
Matt (22:20-21) ..And Jesus said to them "Whose likeness and inscription is this?
Vs 21 They said "Caesar's,then he said to them. Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's and to God the things that are God's.
*Caesar's (The World) inscription, power, law, fame will end.
* All earthly desires and riches ,likewise whatever our Pain, suffering, sorrow ,death will end in this world.
So whose likeness and inscription is on you?
Is it Caesear's or Christ?
Lay hold of that which is Eternal.
Chase after that which Satisfies.
The will of God is Eternal
The Word (Christ) is Eternal.
Only in this can you find purpose, and fulfill Destiny.
He also says,
“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment.
You will roll them up like a robe;like a garment they will be changed.
But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”Hebrews (1:10-12 NIV)
Life is indeed ephemeral, may we dwell on the things of eternal value.
