Dear Best Friend,Take my Hands!

"If you don't personally go with us,don't make us leave this place,How will anyone know that you look favourably on me and your people if you don't go with us?.
These was Moses words to Abba.
(Exo.33:15-16a)

Moses was a middleman between God and the Isrealities ,more like a shepherd ,Just as God has appointed some of us to act over others,This does not necessarily means you have to be a church head,As a parent,you are over your children and family, God can put you over everyone around you,Funny how this sounds,Even your pals or your roommates,I know you will be wondering ....Kilo kan mi?
All the same, Christ is the only Good Shepherd,our Head.One thing Moses recognise is that even though he had people under him ,He was still a sheep under Abba.He remembered the Psalmist 23..
In  those days,I can remember waking up to read this every morning,Even in school,we recite it every morning,but I can tell you i barely know what I confess then..

The palmist 23  shows how Abba still plays his path,But what is our response? Do we yield even as He calls? Have we developed that closeness with Him that all we desire is his company,do we recongise his shepherdly role over us? Irrespective of what he put us over, we are to draw closer and closer as a sheep,as a friend,as sons and daughters, Even in any assignment He put in our hands,He still desire to take the lead.

He gives the map and yet follow us as we go on the journey,why not give the map back to him and follow his steps

That same Exodus 33 vs16b gripped me  .

" For your presence among us set your people and me apart from all other people on the earth."

Hmm..The Defining Factor! The Distinguish! Can only happen in Christ! That reassuring presence was all Moses needed , Having Him closer than a Friend. Trust me,God wanted it Most, He  wanted to accompany us all the way..but he couldn't go with the isrealities because they fail to recongise the "Shepherdly Father"..I hope you are allowing Him take the lead?, I hope you ain't listening to strangers and having lost his voice when He beckons your name, buried in whatever thinking we have it all together?  ..if  you are ,it going to be a real struggle for you and people around you.You would lose the essence and won't get God going with you.

"Only in the Shepherd can you find Rest,Restoration, Confidence, Righteousness for your soul as He daily feeds you with the Living water and Bread of life to satisfy".In Him can you make that impactation on those lives He has put you over.

"The Lord replied Moses, “I will indeed do what you have asked, for I look favorably on you, and I know you by name.”

(Exodus 33:17 )

Just as God desire,Moses also desires and tarry with God to keep seeking till they have Abba go with them.

Do you desire God as He desire You?

Do not forget that He's your Shepherd like Father and His closer than you know!
